Have you heard the news? Facebook is announcing a MAJOR change to their newsfeed algorithm.
Mark said, “You’ll see less public content like posts from businesses, brands, and media,” in order to create more “meaningful social interactions.”
Good news and bad news all in one.
If you don’t follow these updates you will certainly be worried, but it IS social media and is constantly evolving. If your business doesn’t evolve with it, then you are screwed.
Let me help you a little though…
There are 3 types of FB posts:
1. Posts by friends
2. Posts by Facebook Pages – organic reach
3. Facebook Ads (for Pages) – paid reach
Facebook wants more of #1, so where do you think Facebook will cut? Obviously, #2.
That means your engagements will be more important. How you interact with other friends and existing businesses will be what you see more of.
If you are a business, then facebook ads is really something you will need to be skilled in.
