A lot of people tell me they wish they had half the amount of business savvy that I do. What is interesting is that I don’t have any official training in business. My degrees are in music and education, not even closely related.

So I thought it would be fun to demystify success and share my top tips for getting to where I am today. Hopefully you can apply some of these things to where you are.

  1. The Slight Edge – If you haven’t read this book yet, you need to go download it now. This was the biggest game changer for me in terms of wanting everything yesterday. I’m actually a very impatient person and crave instant satisfaction, so playing the long game wasn’t something that I ever envisioned for myself. This book changed it all. The book really talks about our lives in general and how we should always be working that slight edge, but it really crosses over into business and that’s where the big ah-ha moments happened. Just go read it.
  2. Your Happiness Comes First – This was an interesting lesson to learn and one that I am constantly teaching others about. At the end of the day, the only person responsible for your happiness, is YOU. Your spouses job isn’t to make you happy. Having kids won’t make you happy. The right job won’t make you happy. Only YOU can make YOU happy. You might need to go back and read that again. It’s hard for a lot of people to process as I get constant push back, but, but, but. Now I’m not saying that you should not treat others with respect and only do things that serve you, but at the end of the day, everyone is looking out for themselves, so who is looking out for you, if you don’t do it? Take me seriously on this one, start focussing on making decisions that put you closer to what your happiness is.
  3. Residual Income – It’s often said that money doesn’t buy happiness. And while I agree to some extent, it sure does help solve a lot of problems. In a previous blog post I wrote about my start in the Direct Sales scene and how I found more success in Network Marketing, because of residual income. While I still work my tail off, I’m not starting from scratch every month, like I did back in my time with the Pampered Chef and Close to My Heart. I’ve worked a shorter amount of time with doTERRA and have created a lifestyle where I can live in the house of my dreams, travel when able, and have extra money to invest. If you aren’t building a pipeline for your financial future, then let me help you get started.

In a couple of weeks I’ll be leading a Zoom Webinar on this very topic. If you want the link, just let me know. If you are reading this post webinar, send me an email or schedule a time to chat so we can talk about your happiness and your future. You too can be successful. None of it has to do with luck, but rather focussing on the long-term (rather than short term), working on your happiness, and creating your pipeline. I can’t wait to hear from you.

3 Tips To My Success
